Katie, a former extemp coach and speech kid from Ohio, has volunteered with the Washington Urban Debate League for several years, first a judge and as the Coach at Capitol Hill Montessori and later at Stuart Hobson. Stuart Hobson was just getting re-started when she started working with the team. Two years later, they won the WUDL Sweepstakes Award for Best Team — the first time a Middle School has ever won the award, won UDL Middle School Nationals, and saw the team grow to more than 60 members. Outside of debate, Katie is a consultant at Ben Allegretti Consulting, improve the Veterans Benefits Administration.
