La Liga Urbana de Debate de Washington se enorgullece en anunciar el lanzamiento oficial de la división de Debate en Español. Después de años de explorar la idea en distintos torneos, realizamos con éxito nuestra primera competencia dentro de un torneo local.

Cecilia y Miguel de Oyster-Adams obtuvieron el tercer lugar, y Miguel fue reconocido como el quinto mejor orador.
El segundo lugar fue para Ximena y Oliver de Hardy. Ximena y Oliver también recibieron los premios de cuarta y tercera mejor oradora y orador, respectivamente.

Nuestros primeros campeones de la división de Debate en Español fueron Maite y Alexander. Maite fue destacada como la segunda mejor oradora, seguida por Alexander, quien obtuvo el premio de mejor orador en la competencia 

Agradecemos a las entrenadoras Christine Miller y Leslie Solomon por su apoyo al programa. También extendemos nuestro agradecimiento a Eric Esparza, Addie Worsely, Iris Zelaya, Verónica Jiménez y Rita Janenaite por su labor como jueces en la competencia.

Estamos muy emocionados por ver aún más escuelas y estudiantes participar en nuestra próxima competencia en diciembre.

Washington Urban Debate League (WUDL) is proud to announce the official launch of its Spanish-Language Debate division. After years of exploring the idea in various pilot tournaments, we successfully held our first competition within a local tournament.

Cecilia and Miguel from Oyster-Adams obtained third place, and Miguel was recognized as the fifth best speaker.
Second place went to Ximena and Oliver  of Hardy. Ximena and Oliver also received the awards for fourth and third best speaker, respectively.

Our first-ever Spanish Debate Division champions were Maite and Alexander. Maite was recognized as the second-best speaker, followed by Alexander, who won the award for best speaker in the competition.

We thank coaches Christine Miller and Leslie Solomon for their support of the program. We also extend our gratitude to Eric Esparza, Addie Worsely, Iris Zelaya, Verónica Jiménez, and Rita Janenaite for their work as judges in the competition.

We are very excited to see even more schools and students participate in our next competition in December.
